How a mural comes together
From conversation to finished wall
Every mural starts with a conversation about your space, what you want people to feel when they see it, and how it fits into your business. Here's what to expect — including transparent pricing — when you commission a project with Kinga.
The process
Four steps, start to finish
01
Consultation
Reach out via the contact form. Kinga will discuss the location, surface, theme, size, and budget. For local projects she'll often visit the site in person; photos of the area, surroundings, and a close-up of the surface work too.
02
Concept & sketch
Kinga produces a concept sketch or reference mock-up for your approval before any paint touches the wall. Up to three rounds of revisions are included so the design lands exactly where you want it.
03
On-site painting
Kinga brings all paints, brushes, drop cloths, and ladders or scaffolding. Murals can also be painted off-site on wood, aluminum, or paracloth panels and installed if that fits your project better. Timelines depend on size and detail — see the FAQ below.
04
Sealing & handoff
Interior murals typically don't need sealant. Exterior murals are sealed with a protective coat included in the base quote; an upgraded graffiti-resistant sealer is available on request.

FAQ
Common questions
How long does a typical mural take?+
It depends on size and complexity. Once a project is approved: a small accent wall or nursery feature is typically 1–2 days; a mid-size commercial mural is 3–5 days; a large exterior building mural can be 1–2 weeks. The longest project Kinga has completed was a 40-foot mural — about 40 hours of painting, spread over two weeks.
How long will the paint last?+
Interior murals typically last many years with normal wear. Exterior murals with proper sealant typically hold up 10+ years depending on sun exposure and Wisconsin weather. Window painting is intended to be seasonal, though colors can last for years — they may fade with direct sun exposure.
Can I bring reference images or a Pinterest board?+
Yes — Kinga loves when clients arrive with an idea of what they're looking for. Reference images, color palettes, brand guidelines, or Pinterest boards all help shape the concept sketch.
Can you match my brand or business colors?+
Yes. Share your brand palette or send a logo at the consultation stage and Kinga will color-match. Many clients pull from existing signage, branding, or interior finishes.
Do you work with interior designers, architects, or contractors?+
Yes — mural work fits naturally into design build-outs. Reach out via the contact form and we'll coordinate scheduling around other trades.
Are there content restrictions?+
Murals are family-friendly: no derogatory content, no profanity, no horror or graphic violence. Outside of that, Kinga reviews each project's content during consultation and will let you know early if anything is outside what she'll paint.
Do you do interior and exterior murals?+
Both. Exterior work uses weather-durable paint with a protective seal, and scheduling is weather-dependent (warm, dry conditions for application). An upgraded graffiti-resistant sealer is available on request for installations in higher-exposure spots.
How do I get started?+
Use the contact form — share your location, the approximate size of the wall, the surface (interior or exterior, drywall, brick, etc.), your theme or reference images, and your target timeline. Kinga responds within 1–2 business days.
